Specimen A are brothers Philip and Morris Jones. As children they had a strict classical training in piano by the head of the royal academy of music. They performed on national television and won county competitions as young teenagers. They soon followed in the footsteps of their pop star uncle ‘Howard Jones’ when their love for electronic music was found upon playing synths and being inspired by artists like ‘the prodigy’ and ‘the chemical brothers’. Since then they have established themselves as significant contributors to dance music.
They’ve had beatport number 1’s in drum and bass , dubstep , breaks and house. Remixed artists such as Fatboy Slim , Excision, Friction , Matrix and future bound.
Released on labels such as Mau5trap, Ministry of sound, Ram , Viper . Played live in stadiums and arenas abroad to up to 20 thousand people. Toured Europe , America and Australia. Played on international radio stations such as Radio 1 , Triple J , George. The list goes on.
Their reputation in the music industry is one of prestige and skill, supporting many DJ’s and artists careers with production and engineering from making albums to live studio recordings and performances. They are in multiple projects and will continue to blaze a trail through the electronic music landscape for decades to come.
